The computer club at the Clara-Schumann comprehensive school was founded in summer 2010. Linked to the afterschool activities of this school, it brings together teenagers of the 6th and 7th grade.
Animated cartoon – The pupils use Scratch to develop a story with it’s contents. Afterwards this story will be implemented into an animated cartoon.
Everything’s a game – What characterizes a good game? Club participants explore this by designing and programming little games and animations in Scratch.
„Maker“ Technologies – The computer club explores different „maker“ technologies, e.g. 3D printing, paper making, electronics for clothes (so called „wearables“), circuits and more.
Building with Minecraft – With the help of the game „Minecraft“ children in the computer club create their ‚city of dreams’. The virtually designed buildings were then printed as threedimensional models.
Scratch – Programming of little animations and games.
Photo Editing – Computer club participants explored their neighborhood with the camera. They learned how to edit the images they took and assembled these in a calendar.
Presentation – Computer club participants created presentations on everyday topics of their choice with the computer, and then gave a talk on these topics.
